Tickets for the show, priced from $55 to $129, go on sale at 10 a.m. March 30 to the general public; MACC members will be able to buy tickets starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23.

Frey wrote and sang lead on many of the Eagles’ biggest hits during the group’s long run as rock superstars in the 1970′s. The Eagles brought their “Hotel California” tour to Blaisdell Arena in 1976 and, after a 1980 breakup and reuniting in 1994, they played Aloha Stadium in 1995. The band returned in 2005 for three shows at Blaisdell Arena.

For his most recent album, “After Hours,” released in May, Frey switched genres to sing classic pop standards such as “(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons” and “(Get Your Kicks On) Route 66” and put a big-band spin on rock-era material.

For his Maui show at the MACC’s Yokouchi Pavilion/A&B Amphitheater, Frey will be backed by a full band.
