Organizers of Hawaii Fashion Month (HFM) in October are looking for industry professionals and fashion enthusiasts for help in the following areas:
» Participation as a featured designer or business in the month’s signature events including the kickoff party on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the local design trade show on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 2 and 3, and the bridal/eveningwear fashion show on Friday, Oct. 4, at the Hawaii State Art Museum.
» Submission of a fashion-related event for the official HFM calendar during October, anything that showcases some aspect of Hawaii fashion, whether it be design, styling, art, education, history, modeling, photography and manufacturing.
» Nomination of a local fashion professional or business for the Governor’s Fashion Awards, which will be the finale of HFM on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
» Sponsorship of HFM and its signature events.
» Opportunites to volunteer throughout the month, including modeling, styling, hair, make-up, event support, fashion show production, guest relations, marketing, social media, photography and videography.
