PICS: 2013 HIC PRO: 1. Mason Ho, 25, won the 2013 HIC Pro at Sunset Beach on Saturday. With the win, the Oahu resident took home $15,000 and an invitation to participate in the 2013 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. Ho’s father, Michael, was the first Triple Crown champion in 1983 (and again in 1985), and won the Vans World Cup of Surfing three years in a row from 1983 to 1985.
