As an innovator who got his start on the international dance music scene in the late 1980s, Sasha is anything but passe.

The innovative and artistic Welsh DJ and record producer still packs nightclubs and brings his brand of house music to The Fix in Chinatown on Saturday, Dec. 14.

Although he started his career playing acid house, Sasha has evolved with the ever-changing trends of electronic dance music — his 1999 trance hit “Xpander” was a favorite among clubbers. He’s remixed the likes of Madonna (“Ray of Light”) and The Chemical Brothers (“Out of Control”) and continues to push boundaries.

In March, he released “Involv3r,” a two-disc album described as moving “from shimmering Balearic ambience to deep house and atmospheric techno.”

Local DJs Willis Haltom, Dino G, Ramyt, Dozeguise and Alex Graham will open for Sasha at The Fix; downstairs at The Underground, DJs Bobby Boomba, David Yeazell, Graves, G-Spot, Sonuet, Rich Viceroy, Errick and Paul Brandon will provide a second room of fun.
