Indian pop-up: Fans of India Cafe will be happy to learn of a new pop-up collaboration with the Formaggio Wine Bar in Kaimuki, 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
A five-course Indian feast is planned, accompanied by 50 different wine choices, Indian dance, Bollywood music and a henna tattoo artist.
The menu includes lamb samosas, tomato pachadi (ripe cherry tomatoes with cucumber, herbs, yogurt and curry leaves), fish tikka masala (made with fresh mahimahi) and India Cafe’s signature chicken curry. Dessert is house-made mango ice cream.

Sushi buffet: The Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki’s Hakone Restaurant is extending its sushi buffet hours; it is now available from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, in addition to its regular hours, 5:30 until 9:30 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.
The buffet offers a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, beef shabu shabu, tempura and Chef Shiyoyama’s weekly specials, and there is also an elaborate dessert station; $53 per adult, $26.50 per child ages 6 to 10 at the hotel, 100 Holomoana St., adjacent to the Waikiki Marina. Information: 944-4494.
Taste tacos and more: Taste, a new food venue in Kakaako, is serving breakfast and lunch Tuesdays through Fridays in December.
Taste offers Taco Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with tacos, burritos and quesadillas.
On Wednesdays, Petit Suisse Crepes offers breakfast and lunch from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. along with fresh-squeezed lemonade. On Thursdays, Wow Wow Waffles offers its Belgian-style Liege waffles from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and Boom Musubi offers meals made from local ingredients from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Taste also hosts a “Drunch Series” with celebrity chef Lee Ann Wong and chef Mark “Gooch” Noguchi at 7 p.m. Saturday, combining drinks with food to “munch.”

Chefs Fight Hunger: Tickets are on sale for “Great Chefs Fight Hunger,” slated for March 23 to benefit the Hawaii Foodbank.
Last year’s participants included 3660 on the Rise, Beach House at the Moana, Chai’s Island Bistro, and SALT Kitchen and Tasting Bar.
