‘All-Star Comedy Jam’ returns to Hawaii

Shaquille O’Neal’s “All Star Comedy Jam” returns to Honolulu Friday, Sept. 28, at the Blaisdell Concert Hall, with tickets going on sale Saturday, Aug. 18.

Founded by former NBA star and now TV commentator Shaquille O’Neal, the lineup this time around includes:

» Host Gary Owen, dubbed the “Funniest Serviceman in America,” fresh off his co-starring role in the hit comedy  “Think Like a Man.” Owen broke into the comedy scene with his debut role on Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) stand-up showcase “Comic View.”

» Capone Lee, the “Gangsta of Comedy,” who made his reputation on Russell Simmons’ “Def Comedy Jam.”

» Tony Roberts, recipient of the BET Robin Harris Award for Most Original Comic.

» Ghanaian-American actor and comedian Michael Blackson.

Prices will range from $45 to $100, with tickets available starting Aug. 18 at the Blaisdell Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets at Walmart stores and Sports Gear Warehouse in Windward Mall, charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
