Tiki’s Grill & Bar is offering a special dinner on Father’s Day just for dads: a “mixed grill” plate consisting of an 8-ounce spice-rubbed bone-in New York steak, a half-rack of Tiki’s guava barbecue ribs, a half-pound of snow-crab legs, soy-glazed Kahuku corn and truffled mashed potatoes. 12th Ave Grill, meanwhile, will serve up a “Ham-hattan cocktail” — a unique twist on a classic Manhattan featuring Shinsato bacon-infused rye whiskey.

Tiki’s for Dads: Tiki’s Grill & Bar will offer a special Father’s Day dinner with live music and rum cocktails from 4 to 10:30 p.m. June 16.

Chef Ronnie Nasuti has created a “mixed grill” plate for fathers, with an 8-ounce bone-in New York steak, a half-rack of Tiki’s guava barbecue ribs, a half-pound of snow-crab legs, soy-glazed Kahuku corn and truffled mashed potatoes.

On Father’s Day, Tiki’s is also offering the “Papa’s Painkiller,” an exclusive rum drink mixed with orange juice and pineapple served in a souvenir, take-home mug.

Cost for the “mixed grill” plate is $39 per person. The full dinner menu will also be available. Find Tiki’s on the second floor of the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, 2570 Kalakaua Ave. Reserve at tikisgrill.com or call 923-8454.

Hoppin’ Good: If you want to take your dad out for a special meal, 12th Ave Grill’s menu highlights hormone-free rabbit shipped fresh from Shinsato Farms.

0607_quickbites2Try the Shinsato Rabbit Two Ways, Bacon-Wrapped B.I. Rabbit Loin with pomegranate lavender gastrique, or the 14-ounce Hawaii Ranchers’ Ribeye, which comes with fresh pappardelle, balsamic roasted radicchio and cremini-marsala jus. To drink, buy dad a “Ham-hattan” cocktail, which is a new twist on a classic Manhattan with Shinsato bacon-infused rye whiskey.

Find 12th Ave Grill at 1145 12th Ave. Call 732-9469 or visit www.12thavegrill.com.
